Description of the Bucks County Singers
The Bucks County Singers have been wowing audiences for more than 30 years. Currently under the direction of University of the Arts adjunct professor and private voice teacher, Terry Boyle Greenland, the group consists of 35 – 40 men and women from throughout the Bucks County area and beyond, all united by their love for choral singing. The chorus sings in four-part harmony and enjoys a wide repertoire of music including Broadway, sacred, folk, and pop.
History of the Bucks County Singers
Bucks County Singers was organized in 1984 in the hopes of bringing together a non-sectarian, non-profit group of people who love to sing. Under the direction of Harry Dengler, former Music Director at Neshaminy Maple Point High School, the group met in Newtown but attracted singers from all over Bucks County. In the beginning the choir was short on a few voices, but the group’s enthusiasm helped them to grow into the 30 plus members they have today. Today, the ensemble thrives under the direction of Terry Boyle Greenland who has been the director for more than 30 years. Bucks County Singers continue to delight audiences all over Bucks County, Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Mission Statement
The Bucks County Singers' mission is to provide a strong choral experience for adults who like to sing.
- Everyone is welcome regardless of their musical skills and experience.
- Vocal technique is incorporated into every rehearsal to ensure that members sing to the best of their ability.
- Concerts are spread throughout the year at various venues.
- Music is chosen with the group’s ability in mind as well as the audience’s enjoyment. We enjoy standards, patriotic, sacred tunes, Broadway gems and much more.
- The membership expenses are kept to a minimum to ensure that everyone can afford to be a part of this group.
- Each year the Singers host the amazing Voices of Bucks concert, welcoming other choirs in the area especially young people from local high schools. This outreach to many generations is a community favorite. Veterans in the area look forward to our salute and tribute to their sacrifices.
- We welcome all who are interested in becoming part of our singing group of friends.
Music
The choir sings a repertoire from a variety of genres from Broadway and movie selections and standards to patriotic and folk selections. Some of the selections are simply choreographed to the added enjoyment of both the singers and their audiences. This makes the group a bit more distinctive and fun to watch.
